The Viscardi Center
Supported Employment and
Sustaining Long-term Employment
We offer a range of supportive services that help individuals with disabilities sustain long-term paid employment. These services include resume writing, job application assistance, practice interviews and travel training. Working alongside knowledgeable coaches, participants apply well-developed skills and career goals while receiving ongoing support while on the job. A person-centered approach ensures participants receive on-the-job training, understand their benefits, and are successfully integrated into the workplace so they are heard, respected, and valued throughout each stage of the employment process.
Training offers individuals an opportunity to build skills through a paid internship that can lead to permanent employment in a local business. Participants attend job readiness classes, covering topics such as conflict resolution and how to dress appropriately, and receive job coaching to assist with the development of relevant employability skills.
