The National Business & Disability Council provides consultation, training and workshops to assist businesses in integrating people with disabilities.

Isn’t it time you viewed people with disabilities differently?

Astute companies see the value people with disabilities bring from an employee, consumer and supplier standpoint and how this market can be the cornerstone of a larger business strategy.

The National Business & Disability Council (NBDC) at the Viscardi Center is a comprehensive resource for Fortune 1000 companies seeking to successfully integrate people with disabilities into the workplace, marketplace and supply chain. Your source for disability initiatives, NBDC’s services are offered through tiered membership levels or on a consultant basis and assist you in developing strategies to implement, grow, measure and create solid disability programs.

The NBDC provides training, consultation and technical assistance on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act of 2008 (ADAAA) and all other issues related to employing and serving people with disabilities.

It offers customized training, workshops and seminars that build upon the knowledge and programs that are currently operational in your company. The NBDC can work with you to meet your company’s specific training needs, providing customized packages for your company and reducing the strain on your staff’s time and resources. A variety of

materials to supplement all of our programs, including off-the-shelf packages, videos, and manuals/publications to ensure that all levels of staff are well trained, are available.

Topics include:

• “An Introduction to Disability Etiquette”
• “Leveraging the Value of Social Inclusion: How Cultivating Accessible Design
in the Workplace is Good for the Bottom Line”
• “Building the Business Case for the Disability Community: The Power of a Billion”
• “The Need to Manage Productivity: How Understanding the Knowledge Worker of the 21st Century”

The NBDC can also aid in identifying and selecting the most appropriate and cost-effective programs to answer your specific needs.
