Kamran Khan serves as the Program Coordinator of Youth with Disabilities and the Manager of Media Relations at the Saaya Association of Persons with Disabilities in Pakistan. As a polio survivor and wheelchair user, he became driven from an early age to advocate for the rights of other young people with disabilities in his country.
Kamran assists youth, many of whom may be living in isolation, by connecting them to activities and programs that promote independence, boost community involvement, and increase quality of life. In addition to spearheading several independent living training programs, outreach activities, and counselling sessions, Kamran’s leadership has successfully prompted 20 local government and public facilities in Rawalpindi and Islamabad to become more accessible. He additionally works to keep disability inclusion in the spotlight as the organization’s media relations and social media content.
Kamran is a member of the Pakistan Wheelchair Cricket team and has competed in international tournaments. He holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Islamabad Model Postgraduate College, H-8 and is currently working towards his master’s degree in commerce from Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science, and Technology.
