The National Business & Disability Council (NBDC) at The Viscardi Center announced an enhanced Job Posting Service to assist its member companies in recruiting qualified people with disabilities for positions they are actively seeking to fill. NBDC’s Job Posting Service is free with its basic membership package.
“This upgraded job posting tool is very easy to use and completely turnkey so it requires minimum involvement on the part of the employer,” explained Laura M. Francis, Executive Director at the National Business & Disability Council at The Viscardi Center. “We hope our members take full advantage of their membership and utilize this valuable tool to actively recruit people with disabilities so that they build diverse, inclusive workforces.”
NBDC’s Job Posting Service:
• Is free with basic membership;
• Offers unlimited job postings;
• Provides tangible evidence companies are recruiting qualified candidates with disabilities;
• Is accessible for all job seekers.
“Many NBDC members are federal contractors and this online service can help them meet, and exceed, the Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 rule change recently announced by the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) requiring that 7% of their workforces be made up of people with disabilities,” added John D. Kemp, President and CEO of The Viscardi Center.
NBDC members can view the job posting tool at http://nbdc.jobs/. For more information about this service, call 516.465.1519.
NBDC’s services are offered through tiered membership levels or on a consultant basis and assist businesses in developing strategies to implement, grow, measure and create solid disability programs. These include talent acquisition, advancement and retention strategies; customized training seminars and workshops; facility and IT accessibility surveys; and an information hotline for disability-related employment issues. Its initiatives to assist employers with expanding their recruiting of people with disabilities include Job Postings Services that aid in attracting qualified people with disabilities to their companies, the NBDC National Resume Database® that provides access to resume listings 24/7 and the Emerging Leaders summer internship program for college students with disabilities.
