Dr. Dan Pelton is a board-certified clinical psychologist and Mental Health Advisor for Deloitte’s Government and Public Service (GPS) Practice where he provides consultation services for firm mental health programs, initiatives, and risk related issues. Dan routinely partners with executive leadership to understand the mental health needs of teams and accounts, and then designs and delivers workshops on topics ranging from general stress management for small teams (<10), to how to curate resilience and high performance across an organization for large accounts (>1000+). In addition to direct mental health work, Dan also regularly conducts executive coaching sessions, where he utilizes a variety of 360 assessments and conducts 1-1 feedback sessions with diverse sets of leaders internal and external to the firm.
Dan also leads Human Capital projects across the firm, and uses his experience in applied behavioral sciences to help clients implement, measure, and sustain change initiatives. Dan is the Human Capital Account Leader for Denver Office, where he drives Human Capital strategy and sales for Deloitte in Colorado. Prior to his work at Deloitte, Dan served as an Army clinical psychologist in the United States and Afghanistan, where he provided evidence-based care to soldiers, as well as training in resiliency, combat readiness, and improving wellbeing to military units. He also worked at a university level for several years and was a member of the psychology department, where he taught courses in research methodology, social psychology, statistics, and experimental psychology in addition to work as a faculty advisor to university students.
