The Viscardi Center has partnered with the Reelabilities Film Festival: New York and will offer a free screening of Perfectly Normal for Me. The festival seeks to promote awareness of, and celebrate, the lives, stories and artistic expressions of people with disabilities.
The Viscardi Center recognized nine exemplary leaders in the disability community who are reshaping societal perceptions and making significant changes in the quality of life of people with disabilities.
The Viscardi Center announced today that it has joined with Henry Schein, Inc. to create Project Accessible Oral Health (PAOH), an international public-private partnership that will raise awareness of, and address the significant need for, increased oral health care for people with disabilities, thus improving their overall health and quality of life.
Chef Loi, executive chef at Loi Estiatorio in NYC, served up gourmet Greek at The Viscardi Center in support of the Center’s culinary skills training program, which prepares adults and adolescents with disabilities for in-demand careers in the food service industry.
