Raises concern about the adverse effects an Affordable Care Act repeal and Medicaid cuts will have on People with Disabilities.
As the annual National Governors Association annual winter meeting convenes in Washington, D.C., Viscardi President & CEO, John D. Kemp sent a message to New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo asking him to continue to be a champion for all people with disabilities as a repeal of, or changes to, the Affordable Care Act and cuts to Medicaid are discussed.
“As an international leader in disability rights, The Viscardi Center takes its responsibility seriously to be a forceful voice for children and adults with disabilities and to advocate for the protection of vital programs and services that affect our health, employment, independence and well-being,” said Kemp. Kemp also encouraged others to join the Center in its advocacy efforts in any way they could.
